I watched this only because my love of astronomy supercedes my dislike of Windows. Well, another Mac-er excluded again ...

I have to admit, I so this on your blog and did not bother to run it . . . because it was a Microsoft thing (and, mind you, I trust your judgement). Then finally yesterday I checked it out. Wow!

i dunno, much as i can appreciate the powerful peeks into the universe, i can't make that crossover to *that other system*

Well, I don't think this is an operating system type project, it was just an attempt to take the massive amounts of data that astronomists collect and present it in a different way.

I doubt this is something that MSFT even expects to make money with.
